Central Virginia Sport Fishing Association

The Central Virginia Sport Fishing Association is a private club for all anglers who want to learn more about fishing for different species in Virginia.

Our members fish both saltwater and freshwater, including:

• The Chesapeake Bay
• Virginia’s Tidal Rivers
• Virginia’s Freshwater Rivers
• The Atlantic Ocean (Nearshore and Offshore)
• Lakes and Ponds

Speakers and club members provide valuable knowledge, helping fellow anglers successfully fish for various species using both new and time-tested methods.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our next meeting is scheduled for April 7, 2025, so please join us at Roma Ristorante, 325 E Williamsburg Rd, Sandston, VA 23150. Our speaker is Captain John Garland who will talk about spring fishing in the James River. As the shad and white perch make their way to the Richmond Fall Line they are followed by the rock fish. Spring is the season for bass and crappies and Captain John will discuss fishing spots and techniques. I fished with Captain Garland and caught the largest catfish of my life and had a great time. The meeting starts at 7:00 so come early for a delicious Italian meal and catch up on the latest fishing news.
